Daredevil and the Defenders
Wade: Hey Alex. Do you know if there are any plans for Daredevil to appear in a film now that Born Again is set to end?
Alex Perez: The show may be ending, but Charlie Cox is far from done being Daredevil.
Hifive326: With Daredevil: Born Again ending again at season 3, what’s in store next for the future of the Defenders/Daughters of the Dragon in general? Would love to see a Defenders series/movie or Heroes for Hire series if those are in the cards.
Alex Perez: There is some stuff in the works for them once Born Again ends.
Hawkeye
toastef: Jeremy Renner posted an image of some West Coast Avengers comics. Assuming this is teasing Clint Barton’s return, what is in store for him?
Keke4002: Hi Alex and Lizzie, thanks for this! Following Jeremy Renner’s recent hint about his potential return as Hawkeye, I wanted to know if you had any information to share about Clint’s future, if there is one. Do you have any information about Kate Bishop’s future in the upcoming Avengers movies and beyond?
Alex Perez: The things Renner filmed were for Disney Attractions. Kate is Champions-bound.
Ironheart
theo1507: Hello Alex and Lizzie: Thank you for what you do. I am fan of the Ironheart series. Will we see any of the characters from the series in future MCU projects? I believe we will see Mephisto again, but what about RiRi, Natalie, and Zelma Stanton?
Alex Perez: You can certainly expect to see RiRi return.
Scarlet Witch
aspksss (Alex): Hi, Alex and Lizzie, thank you so much for doing that! What happened to Wanda Maximoff at the end of Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness? Because I don’t think that powerful witch can be easily “crushed under the weight of a mountain,” as Vision says in VisionQuest.
Alex Perez: You’re right. Stay tuned. 😉
Star Lord/Guardians of the Galaxy
toastef: You’ve talked about Star-Lord’s future in the MCU seeing him leading/forming a new team. After leaving the Guardians to live a peaceful life on Earth, what could force Quill back into action, or is he just seeking a new adventure after this long vacation?
Alex Perez: The end of the world would totally bring someone out of vacation.
Spider-Man
Liam: Hiya Alex, thank you for doing this again. While it’s probably too early to know for sure, is it possible that we get Felicia Hardy in the MCU in Spider-Man 5?
Alex Perez: I know that Sony has toyed around the idea of incorporating Black Cat into live-action for a while now, but not MCU-related. Since then, there haven’t been any talks about her.
footlongslinky: Hi Alex, are there plans for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man to fight the 616 Kraven the Hunter?
Alex Perez: Nothing I can report.
footlongslinky: Will Tom Holland’s Spider-Man team up with Anthony Mackie’s Captain America in Avengers: Secret Wars?
Alex Perez: Too early to tell, but probably.
Liam: In Brand New Day in the ESU classroom, the character who asks the question is named Cindy. Is that supposed to be a future setup/hint for Cindy Moon or just a coincidence?
Alex Perez: Coincidence for now, but then if they get the chance, watch them say it was planned from the very beginning.
Michael: Hi Alex and Lizzie! Will you be detailing the development history and unused ideas for No Way Home and Brand New Day soon? Learning via podcast that the Spot was considered as the villain for No Way Home at one point sounds interesting.
Alex Perez: No.
Manglor: Hey Alex & Lizzie! What ultimately became of the Shathra rumors for Brand New Day?
Alex Perez: Well, they didn’t pan out clearly. 🤣
Thunderbolts/New Avengers
fede75: Hi! When you mentioned current movement on a Thunderbolts* sequel, did you mean a new movie featuring the same team from the first film as the New Avengers (or under another name), or a new Thunderbolts roster (like Bullseye, Abomination, etc.)?
Alex Perez: …Yes.
damesansmerci: Hi Alex and Lizzie! When/where can I expect to see my beloved Bullseye again after the end of Born Again?
Alex Perez: Too early for me to tell you specifically, but I’ve heard rumors of him being brought to the silver screen and interacting with the Thunderbolts.
Wonder Man
Hifive326: Are there any future plans for Wonder Man right now since his show was just cancelled?
Alex Perez: They’re looking for ways to continue his story.
X-Men
Kaweebo: Any info on Rogue’s role in the X-Men?
Alex Perez: Not yet.
fede75: Hi! A while back, you hinted that the X-Men lineup would be partially inspired by Astonishing X-Men. Have you heard anything about Colossus being in the movie since then? He was very important in that run and is one of the most prominent characters not currently being rumored by scoopers.
Alex Perez: Not on the current roster.
Zodiac
Kaweebo: Any info on how much Zodiac will be connected to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.?
Alex Perez: Partially.
Titan: Hi Alex and Lizzie! Do you have any information yet that could indicate if Zodiac will take place in modern-day MCU or if it will be exploring an older era of the MCU?
Alex Perez: Based on what I’ve been told… a bit of both.
damesansmerci: Hi Alex and Lizzie! As someone who loves spy stuff, i’m very excited for Zodiac. Can we expect the show to embrace some of the comic run’s wilder elements (looking at you, time-traveling Leonardo da Vinci!) or will it be more grounded?
Alex Perez: Definitely will be far more grounded. Doesn’t mean it can’t have a bit of camp.
RedGyarados2010: Hi Alex and Lizzie! There’s been a lot of speculation about the connections between Zodiac and Hickman’s Secret Warriors. What plot elements and characters can we expect from that comic series?
Alex Perez: No comment.
cal: Hi! You guys rock. In Zodiac, is Jeffrey Dean Morgan meant to be Nick Fury Sr., or is he actually going to replace Sam Jackson, and Fury as we know him will be gone post-Secret Wars?
Alex Perez: No. Idk where the hell that rumor came from, but that’s just plain false.
Miscellaneous
qncycharles: Hey Alex and Lizzie. As always, a pleasure. Has Marvel Studios had any conversations with Zack Snyder about doing a project?
Alex Perez: Nope.
Wade: Hey Alex. Do you know if that rumored Power Pack animated movie is still in the works?
Alex Perez: Nope.
RedGyarados2010: Hi Alex and Lizzie! Are there any plans at this time to adapt any of the New Mutants?
Alex Perez: Not that I know of.
Docamazone4: Hi Alex and Lizzie! Thanks for doing this! Where can we expect to see America Chavez in the near future?
Alex Perez: Avengers: Secret Wars is your safest bet.
RyukuKing: Hi Alex and Lizze! You all are the best! It’s awesome what you do here. The vastness of the MCU is overwhelming. The multiverse saga was all over the place. A soft reboot may be appropriate at this point. However, (the question): how would you rearrange the multiverse saga films and shows timeline (to include cutting projects) for a more enjoyable experience for yourself? For instance, put all the shows about legacy characters post-Endgame together before introducing new characters. Your version of the Sacred Timeline!
Alex Perez: I’d keep it overall the same. I’d take out Secret Invasion though. We really don’t need that show.
Slava: Do you have any behind-the-scenes info about recent Marvel decisions, mainly about canceling the shows like Daredevil and Wonder Man, rewriting the finale of Daredevil to make it the final season, or just in general their current thought process?
Alex Perez: Nothing I can publicly reveal.
NinjolasNJM: Hi Alex and Lizzie! Over the summer, Dave Filoni made that one remark about the hunt for Ben Solo with the Jedi mind trick. Do you know anything about what future unannounced Star Wars projects are going to be focused on story/characters-wise?
Alex Perez: Nothing yet.
