Time for the third part of our March 2025 Alex Perez Q&A! Here, Alex answers questions about one of his favorite topics, Spider-Man, as well as Thunderbolts*, Vision, X-Men, as well as some miscellaneous topics!

Spider-Man, Venom, Madame Web, and Beyond the Spider-Verse
FootlongSlinky: Hi Alex, have you heard anything about the main villain of Spider-Man 4?
Alex Perez: I have heard many conflicting things, first Knull, then Mephisto, now Doom, and ring around the rosie we go, which is why I’d rather remain quiet. What I can say is, I don’t expect the villain to be someone “street-level.”
Jay Pal: Hi Alex, hope you’re doing very well. With Spider-Man being in Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars, do you know which characters he would most likely interact with?
Alex Perez: I think he gets a chance with most characters. But I kind of want him and Stephen to interact with each other again.
Laurie Rolfe: Hi Alex, hope you are doing well. Will Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock / Venom return for Spider-Man 4 and / or the upcoming Avengers films?
Alex Perez: Last I heard, they were planning on bringing in Eddie for Spider-Man 4, but we’ll see if that’s the case.
arn0_20: Hey Alex! Two questions from me here about Spidey 4. Based on what you may have heard and what we have some knowledge of, How much is Destin Daniel Cretton really taking from the source material to add to Spider-Man’s style moving forward in terms of fighting and acrobatics?
Alex Perez: The stunt/choreo team is having some fun with some pre-viz stuff. That’s all I’m allowed to say.
arn0_20: Aside from what was already said about Peter’s arc moving forward (consumed by the mask) What else could we expect of Peter’s characterization and vibe under Cretton moving forward?
Alex Perez: Emotionally conflicted. Kind of like Shang-Chi.
Michael: Hey Alex! Two questions. One regarding Spider-Man 4 (Though I’m certain crucial information will be revealed at Cinema Con, hopefully). Based on your earlier comments on the SM4 (Discord) channel, “Reset the universe, reset the spell”, do you have any new information or details regarding exactly how and when the memory spell will be undone?
Alex Perez: When Peter chooses to.
Harsha Adhikary: Hello, Alex! I hope you are doing well! I don’t really have anything to ask this time so can you drop some mind-boggling info you have heard for SM4 and the upcoming Avengers movies?
Alex Perez: A character with a whip is involved. That’s all I can say.
daofeiboy: Hi Alex, Lizzie & CC staff: Any Spider-Totem is expected to debut in the MCU anytime soon in 616? Julia Carpenter, Anya Corazon, Jessica Drew, anyone?
Alex Perez: Not that I know of.
rapsfan: Any news on Beyond the Spider-Verse?
Alex Perez: Work in progress, but that it’s going relatively well. I think they may have something to share at CinemaCon.
Thor
toastef: Hey there! You know, with big leaks, come big questions… There’s a handful of big characters that weren’t anywhere to be seen in these (leaked) images. Any hints or teases as to where they’ll be?
Alex Perez: Thor’s in one of the images, and I’m surprised no one has mentioned it on social media as far as what I have seen. But we’re getting Thor Corps in Secret Wars.
Thunderbolts*
Jace: Hey Alex, I hope you’re doing good and keeping your head up! After the events of Cap 4, we know that Sam will be assembling the Avengers, is it possible that we’ll see him show up in other movies such as Thunderbolts* or other unannounced movies leading into Avengers: Doomsday?
Alex Perez: Nope.
Matapple: Hello Alex, hope you’re doing fine! Can you tell us what’s the deal with Taskmaster in Thunderbolts*? The reason why she’s so absent in many crucial scenes from trailers and promotional materials of the movie
Alex Perez: I’ll be honest. Idk and I’m afraid the answer is they killed her. It’s not confirmed to me that she is, but I don’t understand the secretive nature about it either.
Matapple: Should we expect to see Lewis Pullman‘s Sentry in Avengers: Doomsday and/or Avengers: Secret Wars?
Alex Perez: I’m not 100% sure, but I think there is a chance.
Sam: Hi Alex, two questions about Thunderbolts*! Will there be any significance to Taskmaster removing her mask in Thunderbolts*, or will it just be done casually? Could you name something that taskmaster does that’s not in the vault scene, that would “prove” she doesn’t die in there? (I’m certain she doesn’t, but hearing it would make me feel better anyway)
Alex Perez: I really can’t, I’m afraid.
∀: Hello guys, thank you as always for doing this! I don’t really have a specific question today, so is there something you can tell to hype me up related to Yelena/BW and/or the Thunderbolts team in Doomsday/Secret wars? 🙏
Alex Perez: I mean, you saw the concept arts. That was the one hype thing they got going on.
Dom D: Hi Alex, do you expect Yelena to have a big role in Doomsday/Secret Wars?
Alex Perez: In Secret Wars, yes. In Doomsday, we’ll see.
Thunderbolts Comics Reading Guide
Vision Quest
Dominic G: Howdy Alex I hope you’re doing better. Do you know who Ruaridh Mollica is playing in the upcoming Vision Quest series whether it’s Vin, Speed, or Victor?
Alex Perez: I believe it’s Tommy.
CamCam: Hello, Alex. It’s nice to see you again. Do you know who Todd Stashwick’s mysterious assassin character in Vision Quest is going to be?
Alex Perez: Not yet.
RedGyarados2010: Hey Alex! How much will the Vision series connect to the Avengers films? IIRC you recently said that it will likely release after Doomsday, so will it also be set in between the Avengers movies (i.e. on Battleworld)?
Alex Perez: It will connect.
SaltyTrog: Hey Alex, thanks for doing these. Who do you think the best chess player of the current active heroes is?
Alex Perez: Vision. He’s a computer.
X-Men
Dom D: Hi Alex, what would be your ideal MCU X-Men lineup?
Alex Perez: A combo of Wolverine & the X-Men & X-Men ‘97, so Cyclops, Jean Grey, Wolverine, Storm, Gambit, Rogue, Kitty Pryde, Jubilee, Beast, Angel, Ice Man, and Nightcrawler.
RedGyarados2010: Hey Alex! Is there anything you can share about X-Men 97? Like, perhaps, any future storylines for the Braddock siblings?
Alex Perez: Nothing I can share yet.
Miscellaneous questions, Marvel and otherwise…
CosmicStars: Do you think we will ever see other cosmic forces from the comics, such as the Brood or Shi’ar? I think they could be great storylines for a potential Captain Marvel 3 or a cosmic team up project
Alex Perez: We will see future cosmic entities and races be a part of the MCU. The Shi’Ar is one. The Annihilation Wave is another.
FootlongSlinky: Hi Alex, is Marvel actually recasting Kang just to kill him off?
Alex Perez: No.
Vacanus: Hey Alex, thanks for doing these as always. Have you heard any updates on any other potential shows set in the Batman Universe?
Alex Perez: I haven’t.
Manglor: Hellooooo Alex! I might’ve asked this before on the server, but I’d like this recorded in a Q&A. Do you believe it’s canon that any universe within the MCU’s multiverse, even ones like the Fox X-Men/F4 to Raimi & Webb Spider-Man or heck even Howard the Duck, share the same overall cosmic structure, ie; the same series of planets in the same galaxies, just with differences regarding whatever events happened in said universes? (Like with Fantastic Four 4: First Steps, for instance).
Alex Perez: Interesting question. And the answer is no. Some worlds exist in some universes. In other universes, some don’t.
Manglor: Will the deleted scenes for Captain America: Brave New World or other projects like The Marvels and Secret Invasion be released at some point?
Alex Perez: No clue about that.
Nick: A while back, Dan said on Twitter that marvel was developing a Strange Tales project. Have you heard anything about this?
Alex Perez: I’ll be honest. Nope.
rapsfan: We recently got some news about a few more projects releasing in 2026. ( The Punisher special, X-Men ’97 s2, and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man s2). So 2026 should look like this for Marvel Studios, in no specific order btw: Avengers: Doomsday, X-Men ’97 s2, YFNSM s2, Daredevil: Born Again s2, The Punisher special, Spider-Man 4, Vision Quest. Is there any project that this list doesn’t include that could be released in 2026? If so, could you tease it?
Alex Perez: We’re missing a movie.
Hifive326: Any idea on what the mystery movies are that have official release dates? (February 2026, November 2026, July 2027, & November 2027)
Alex Perez:
- February 2026 might be taken out.
- November 2026 I heard a rumor about Shang-Chi 2.
- July 2027 I keep thinking X-Men.
- November 2027, Black Panther 3 most likely.
Liam | Kate Bishop Fan: Hey Alex, hope you are doing well. Are we likely to get Luna Snow or Squirrel Girl in the MCU/Marvel projects (tiny spoiler aside from the blink-you-miss-it of Luna in YFNSM) (and yes, this is because of Marvel Rivals getting me interested in those characters)
Alex Perez: I have no clue.
Michael: Hey Alex! Will the next saga after the Multiverse Saga feature multiple overarching stories across various projects like the Annihilation Wave, the Symbiote Suit, or Kingpin’s crusade against vigilantes?
Alex Perez: Yup.
Folkito1hunnid: In the next phases, what obscure team could you see having a project? (example: Guardians of the Galaxy in 2014) and becoming fan favorites? Next could we see sprinkles of multiverse aspects in future projects post Secret Wars?
Alex Perez: Nova Corps could be an obscure one. Since it’d technically Marvel’s answer to the upcoming Lanterns series from DC. Strange Academy would also be a good one.
Ecko: Hey Alex, what else can you reveal of the network of secret organizations pulling the strings currently in the MCU, from the Hand and the Ten Rings to potentially the Cabal?
Alex Perez: There’s some people in that network that have yet to be revealed. Some big villain names that are coming in the next phase.
Ecko: Generally, what’s your favorite season of the year and why?
Alex Perez: Spring. It’s my birthday season.
LaiHsinyi92: If you had to bet, what would you say the first 3 – 4 films of phase 7 will be?
Alex Perez: X-Men, Black Panther 3 and IDK for a third one right now.
LaiHsinyi92: Which characters do you feel that we’ll say goodbye to by the end of the Multiverse saga?
Alex Perez: Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne.
Keke4002: Hi, next year 2 unknown films are dated, one in February and the other in November. Do you know if these dates are still current and if so what are these films?
Alex Perez: Check above.
cal: Hey Alex, thanks for doing this! Will we see The Maker (possibly Miles Teller’s Reed) appear before this saga ends?
Alex Perez: It’s possible, but I don’t know.
Din Djarin: Hey Alex, do you think we’ll see the Serpent Society return in a more prominent way with their augmentations?
Alex Perez: I hope so. It’s the second time in 10 years that Feige teased them. He clearly wants them in the MCU.
