‘Ghost Rider’ LLC and Working Title Revealed
This year’s San Diego Comic-Con saw Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios make some exciting announcements about their future slate of productions. Among them was the long-awaited and greatly anticipated announcement of a Ghost Rider film currently set to release on July 28, 2028. Shawn Levy is now set to direct the film, with Ryan Gosling stepping into the lead role as the ole bonehead himself.
There’s been a lot of excitement over the upcoming Marvel project, especially now that Gosling is attached, but very little details have come out so far. The writers at Cosmic Circus have been known to keep an eye out for working titles and LLCs and report on them because it can be interesting to speculate on what connections might be made with the actual story. Sometimes they do have fascinating potential meaning and connections, but sometimes not so much.

The upcoming Ghost Rider movie’s production company and working title
This time, sadly, it’s kind of obvious what the names refer to and isn’t giving much more to speculate on. Unless in the film, Ghost Rider is going to zoom by for a Big Mac at McDonald’s or give the penance stare to the AI taking orders at Wendy’s, that is. That’s right… our sources have confirmed that the working title for Ghost Rider (2028) is “Drive-Thru.”
Also keying in on the driving theme, our sources have confirmed that Throttle Productions, LLC is indeed attached to the upcoming Ghost Rider film. This LLC was first picked up on back in August by Murphy’s Multiverse by Charles Murphy (see article here). While Murphy stated in the article “that would seem reasonable to associate [Throttle Productions] with Ghost Rider,” he was unable to confirm that it definitely was at that time.

While you wait for more Marvel Studios news…
You can next catch Levy and Gosling working together on the upcoming film Star Wars: Starfighter (in theaters May 28, 2027). Screenwriter Jonathan Tropper, who is writing Ghost Rider, is also a writer for the upcoming Star Wars film.
Tropper formerly worked with Levy on The Adam Project (2022). More recently, Tropper’s writing credits also include Apple TV’s Lucky and Your Friends & Neighbors as well as Prime Video’s The Wrecking Crew.
