It’s time for another Q&A with Alex Perez, with questions from members of The Cosmic Circus Discord! Check out his answers below, organized by topic. Questions in part two range from Kang to Moon Knight, to Spider-Man 4to the X-Men and Young Avengers. Thanks to all our Discord members for your great questions about these Marvel Studios movies and shows!

[Editor’s Note: some questions below have been lightly edited for spelling/clarity.]

Kang: is he gone, gone?

Manglor: Have they truly decided to axe the Kangs entirely, or is there still at least a possibility they could consider to have them still play a part in the story, albeit not as the big bad?

Alex: The last I heard about Kang, they were planning to evolve him into something else, but now, it’s just a weird limbo.

Cym: Hey there, Alex! Hope you’ve been well, thank you for doing these for us, they’re greatly appreciated! Is Kang still going to be the final villain for Secret Wars, or is Marvel really done using this character?

Alex: Thank you so much. Right now, it’s too early to tell.

Edfleak: Now that Marvel has pivoted towards Doom as the big bad, is Kang and his council officially out, or will they remain in the multiverse saga in some capacity? (Or maybe the next saga?)

Alex: Doom seems to be the focus moving forward here, although I wouldn’t count Nathaniel out just yet.

reju: Is there a possibility of Kang appearing in the second season of X-Men ’97, considering the ending of the season?

Alex: There was an idea to have Rama-Tut be involved in X-Men ‘97 due to the connection with En-Sabah-Nur being hunted like in the comics, but I don’t know if that storyline will be moving forward.

Loki & Sylvie

Elyse- Shoalsandsuch: Any idea on what Loki/Sylvie’s role through the rest of the Multiverse Saga will look like?

Alex: Loki will be at the center of it all. Sylvie will also be there, but her role will be comparable to Black Widow in Infinity War and Endgame (I’m not saying she’s dying folks)

Folkito1hunnid: Now that the end of Loki s2 will be marvels (lazy) way of finishing up the Kang storyline… the real question is will Ravonna be back in the future along with the rest of the TVA?

Alex: That is the question, isn’t it? Last I heard, she was going to be brought back. But that was when her role was sizeable against Kang. Now, I’m not 100% sure.

Marvel Animation

Titan: Do you see a possibility of Marvel Studios theatrically releasing an animated film next saga?

Alex: Oh absolutely. They’re working on a Marvel Animation project set for theatrical release. However, I have no idea what the project itself is. My guess would be X-Men ‘97.

Jace: Any word on other future Marvel animated projects that could be happening?

Alex: The ones we currently know about are the main focus for now. That we don’t know about? I heard a rumor about an Eternals series stylized as an anime, but that was still in a pitching stage last I heard.

Din Djarin: Do you think there’s a good possibility they combine the horde and the annihilation wave in the future for if/when Annihilus is introduced?

Alex: I know the Horde exists in the MCU, but they’re inactive. Their first appearance will be in Eyes of Wakanda.

Wade: Do you know if season 2 of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-man is still happening?

Alex: Yes, it’s still in development.

Masters of Evil

Folkito1hunnid: Who should we expect in the multiversial Masters of Evil? Plus, the Beyonder is still possible?

Alex: The Multiversal Masters of Evil was an idea from a comic storyline that I was told was being adapted for Doomsday & Secret Wars. It doesn’t necessarily mean it will be adapted.

icast05: What could be a potential lineup for a live-action Multiversal Masters of Evil team in Avengers: Doomsday?

Alex: If I were to make the group, I’d want Doom, Maestro, Red Skull, Killmonger, Hela, Thanos.

Moon Knight season 2

candyman.brims: Any traction on Moon Knight season 2 and the Midnight Sons project?

Alex: There has been some traction, yes.

Nova

Manglor: Has there been any talk regarding the upcoming Nova project?

jjlouis: Any info on Nova at all, or at least what the last thing you heard was?

Alex: Still in the writing phase.

Returning Marvel Studios favorites and the multiverse

super_epic_undertale_gamer69: Will Chris Evans return as MAIN 616 Steve Rogers?

Alex: I heard it’s a possibility, but nothing set in stone yet.

Tommy: as Ghost Rider movies is the only legacy Marvel movie that hasn’t been added to the multiverse, do you see the Nick Cage character coming back in Secret Wars?

Alex: He was gonna show up in Deadpool and Wolverine. Didn’t really happen, but there is a chance he will return soon.

Tommy: Do you think we’ll get more live action multiverse projects besides F4 and the two Avengers movies?

Alex: Yes.

Taylor Bates: Will we see Zemo again anytime soon?

Alex: Yes.

Scarlet Witch

TheScarletTwink: What does the Scarlet Witch’s role in the MCU pre-Doomsday/Secret Wars look like?!

Alex: She’s dead, but that hasn’t stopped characters from coming back before.

TheScarletTwink: What are the chances of a solo project for Scarlet Witch during phase 5-6

Alex: Very low.

aspksss: Will Jac Schaeffer return to the Multiverse Saga, and especially to the Wandaverse?

Alex: She has a hand in the upcoming Vision series.

aspksss: The Scarlet Witch movie is no longer in development, right? Maybe it is in a frozen state?

Alex: It’s on a pinboard at the moment.

Shang-Chi 2

Liam | Kate Bishop Fan: Hi Alex With Kang now not being a threat and potentially the 10 rings no longer the main target/connection for The Multiverse Saga, is there a chance that Shang-chi 2 becomes a West Coast Avengers team up movie to connect that side of the Avengers roster before Doomsday?

Alex: I like where your head’s at, Liam. I did hear a few things about the story for Shang-Chi 2, and one of the most plausible storylines for the film involves a particular storyline from the comics which delves heavily into the history between the Mandarin and one of the most notable warlords in history, Genghis Khan, and how that rivalry sort of extended into future generations into the modern era. Which coincidentally also leads to the formation of one of the coolest Marvel groups in comics, involving a certain FBI agent who loves magic.

Spider-Man, Spider-Man, Spider-Man!

rapsfan: When could we see Spider-Man 4 be released?

Alex: I’m hearing the July 2026 date that Marvel removed from their spot is being given to Sony to release Spider-Man 4.

Vinny: Disney has 1 movie that is scheduled to release between Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, do you know which movie will be released in between the upcoming two Avengers movies?

Alex: It’s looking like Spider-Man 4 but unsure yet.

spideygoat_:What will Zendaya’s role be in SM4?

Alex: She will be… MJ.

spideygoat_:When will SM4 start filming?

Alex: Later this year if they want to keep that date.

Michael: Do you have any new updates on SM4’s supporting cast? Would love to know what happens to this version of JJJ. Especially since we might get someone to replace JK Simmons after Secret Wars.

Alex: JK Simmons I think he will stay in the role post Secret Wars. No one else can really do it. As for the supporting cast, other characters will be introduced soon, as I hear Peter will be heading to ESU. There is also a chance that Ned will return.

icast05: Any chances we see the return of the cured Spider-Man villains from No Way Home in Avengers: Secret Wars?

Alex: I’d love to have them back, but I don’t really know.

cristobal1962: If you were a betting man, would you say we’ll see Tom Holland’s Spider-Man get the symbiote in Spider-Man 4 or Avengers Secret Wars, like the comics?

Alex: I’m thinking Secret Wars.

arn0_20: How big of an influence can we possibly expect the symbiote to have on Peter, psychologically and character wise, in the MCU? (Especially if they go for a comic-accurate route and make him have it for Secret Wars)

Alex: A big one.

mothman9583: Do you know if Kingpin is still in the script for SM4Do you think we’ll get an MCU Norman Osborn or Otto Octavius?

Alex: There’s been a story shift for Spider-Man 4. It’s very likely that the storyline with Kingpin might be saved for post-Secret Wars. I’ll know more about that soon. As for MCU Norman or Otto, not yet. But soon.

FootlongSlinky: Do you know who’s directing Spider-Man 4?

Alex: I don’t, and I am not necessarily good with director picks. But I heard a rumor from a source… about a pair of directors who Marvel might be looking at to direct the movie.

Jace: Is there any update on Beyond the Spider-Verse and a potential release?

Alex: They’re working hard on it, and I’m hearing a lot of cool things for it. As for a potential release, I’m hearing we’re still 2-3 years out.

Noobmaster66: will Miles Morales be introduced in Secret Wars?

Alex: I don’t want to talk too much, but there is an idea regarding Miles before the Multiverse Saga is over. It’s not big, but it’ll be fun.

FootlongSlinky: Do you know if MCU Miles Morales will be the 616 one mentioned in Spider-Man Homecoming?

Alex: The MCU Miles is still a bit away from showing up.

Vision

Titan: Any hints toward the possible plot of the Vision series?

Alex: Read VisionQuest.

Rohith Dhar: Regarding the White Vision Disney+ show, are there any particular things that people should be excited about, whether it be the talent attached, stories adapted, particular characters, themes, and/or tone of the project?

Alex: One thing I’m interested in seeing is how they “humanize” Vision by exploring all of his alter egos, J.A.R.V.I.S, Ultron, Vision before Infinity War. So it’s going to be sort of like WandaVision, but the other way around.

X-Men, Wolverine, X-23, and more on mutants

PWEI: Are there any set plans for the X-men in the MCU? Why not talk about mutants at SDCC?

Alex: They have plans for the X-Men, but Feige just wanted to focus on the next big 3 projects and give an update on Avengers.

Pagan Min Did Nothing Wrong: Adamantium– what role will it play in the future of the MCU?

Alex: It will start in Captain America: Brave New World as a material synthesized from Tiamut by the Japanese. It will also be the most important McGuffin in the movie against Red Hulk.

Cool51: Clearing up the Earth 10005 stuff, should we plan on seeing any more mutants/characters pop up there before Doomsday/Secret Wars??

Alex: Before Doomsday/Secret Wars, no.

Din Djarin: With the X-men on the way, have you heard if they plan on doing anything with Gladiator and the Shi’ar imperial guard?

Alex: I know that part of the next Saga in the MCU will continue to explore space even more. The Shi’ar Empire definitely falls under that category, but I’ve heard that they want to handle other villains as well, primarily ones we haven’t seen in live-action yet, like Mister Sinister and the Essex Corporation.

Squidley: Now that the MCU doesn’t have to tiptoe around mutants, what are the chances we’ll see some Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. characters returning in future MCU projects?

Alex: It’s always a possibility, but very unlikely.

RedGyarados2010: What does the future hold for X-23, and might she stick around once the X-Men are introduced in the MCU?

Alex: She’ll be back for the Avengers films, and that’s all I know.

wd172: Can you guess what movies will come out in July 23, 2027 and November 5, 2027?

Alex: I’d wager X-Men for July 23rd, 2027. The other one, I don’t know.

Young Avengers

Mont (Young Avengers Historian): Have you heard anything more about Hulkling lately, such as who he could be or where he might show up?

Alex: Has anyone checked New Asgard?

gulymullaaa: What are the current plans for the Young Avengers in terms of the storyline for their project (if it’s still happening that is)

Alex: It’s still happening, but they have got to assemble first.

capelli: If we get a Young Avengers project, is there any chance of Iron Lad joining the group? I’m asking that because this character is a Kang variant and also a Doom’s descendant, which could connect both of the villains.

Alex: I really wouldn’t know. When Kang was involved, absolutely. But now, I don’t really think it can happen.

Miscellaneous Marvel Studios and more

toastef: What do you personally see the soft reboot of the MCU looking like? What do you want to see them do with a fresh start?

Alex: Bring back some characters as recasts, bring in the rest of the characters currently active in the MCU, incorporate the X-Men and The Fantastic Four. Make it all new, all different.

BTT: Hi Alex, if the Avengers films hold those release dates and don’t get delayed, what do you think the last films of the Multiverse Saga will be?

Alex: Avengers: Secret Wars.

Mysterion305: My question is about how Feige mentioned previously that the special presentations are still happening and one is currently being worked on. Have you heard anything about what this special presentation could be about?

Alex: Man-Thing is one of them. I don’t know about any other potential projects.

Rohith Dhar:  Since Thanos was the big bad of the Infinity Saga and now Doom appears to be the big bad of the Multiverse Saga, who do you know or anticipate to be the big bad of a hypothetical MCU Mutant Saga assuming that is the next one after the Multiverse Saga?

Alex: Arishem. Serve up some Celestial Judgement.

gulymullaaa: Are any of the rumoured season 2s of the Disney+ shows still happening, or have they been shelved/continuing in other projects?

Alex: Some are still happening and others are shelved.

Futers11: With criticisms of past movies using green screen and the volume too much. Do you think we see a switch to using more practical sets and effects in the MCU?

Alex: Oh yes, absolutely.

Futers11: When can I get a British MCU show or movie?

Alex: They were working on an MI13/Excalibur project.

CamCam: You’ve mentioned the various ongoing storylines the MCU has several times now. Examples include the World War Tensions that probably leads to a Hulk story of some kind, the assembling of the Young Avengers, Mayor Fisk’s reign over New York City, Midnight Sons, Carol Danvers searching the universe for the origin of the bangles in an attempt to bring Monica Rambeau home, the Eternals and the Celestials, and Doctor Strange partying with Clea throughout the multiverse while coming to terms with his role in the incursions (through variants, I think). That’s not even an exhaustive list! With the two Avengers films confirmed to be keeping their release dates, it is simply impossible to meaningfully continue or resolve all of these storylines before the Multiverse Saga ends. So, I’m wondering, how many of these ongoing storylines will be continued or resolved before the Multiverse Saga concludes, and how many will have to wait until after?

Alex: A lot will be resolved in the Multiverse Saga. Maybe one loose thread is Eternals that will be addressed in the next Saga.

Wade: What’s your favourite take away order?

Alex: Always gotta go with pizza.
