Ant-Man and the “use and abuse” of Pym Particles
SaltyTrog: Alex, hope things are going well! Some time ago, you mentioned the “use and abuse” of Pym Particles in future films. Can you elaborate on what that meant at all?
Alex Perez: Sure. So, in Quantumania, it’s revealed that Hope runs the Pym Van Dyne Foundation and uses the Pym Particle to help communities worldwide. That is a noble act. However, there will be others seeking to abuse the potential of those Pym Particles, since they are now available publicly, for their gain. It really isn’t that big of a major storyline in it of itself, but rather part of a larger storyline, kind of like how DODC has about 70-80% control of Stark technology and will eventually become the government’s response to mutants later on post-Secret Wars.
SaltyTrog: With Kate and Yelena being a great success as foils between a young new hero and a Thunderbolt, can we expect Ava/Ghost and Cassie to have a similar meeting and relationship as foils due to their shared origin of Pym science?
Alex Perez: I don’t know if we’ll see Ava and Cassie interact, although they should.
Avengers: Doomsday & Secret Wars
Harsha Adhikary: Hello Alex! Now that we know Dr. Strange is no longer in Doomsday, who will be the lead character in this movie?(Outside of Doom ofc)
Alex Perez: He took back his comments and reported he is in Doomsday.
Radeon zonda: Heyy Alex. Glad to see you back for another Q&A!!! Do you expect to see Jennifer Walters return in Doomsday and Secret Wars?
Alex Perez: I heard she’d be back, but I don’t know if she’ll be in Avengers, since she technically didn’t want to join them at the end of her show.
Radeon zonda: How will Doomsday address the loss that Spidey suffered in No Way Home?
Alex Perez: It won’t explore it all that much. He’ll be so consumed by his role as Spider-Man that it doesn’t just mask his identity, but it’ll mask how he’s really feeling, leading to a lot of unresolved issues and repressed emotions that could slip out from time to time, but won’t be addressed until his own solo movie.
Elyse – Shoalsandsuch: Hi Alex, hope you’re doing well. Will Alioth be in Doomsday? If so, what will its role be?
Alex Perez: Too early for us to tell.
Elyse – Shoalsandsuch: After finding out Dr. Strange won’t be in Doomsday, any other surprise exclusions from the cast?
Alex Perez: He’s in it.
laser_gum: Does Marvel have plans to kill Loki in either Avengers: Doomsday or Secret Wars?
Alex Perez: I don’t think offing him is the plan, since they want Thor and Loki to reunite. However, there will be a shift that takes him off his throne at the End of Time.
laser_gum: Will characters like The New Guardians, Okoye, M’Baku, Korg, Valkyrie, Wasp, Janet, Hank Pym, Nick fury, Wiccan, and Speed be in Avengers: Doomsday/Secret Wars? (Talking about 616 versions)
Alex Perez: Some of them will be in it. I know Sam Jackson’s expected to return for Doomsday. Hank and Janet played a big part in Avengers 5 when it was Kang Dynasty… now not so sure. I know Wakanda will also be back. The rest is up in the air.
Tommy: Hi Alex! In the comics in Secret Wars, old villains are present in Battleworld, can we expect it happens as well in Avengers: Secret Wars?
Alex Perez: There is certainly that possibility. I know they had plans for Thanos, although I’m not sure if it’s the same version we know.
LaiHsinyi92: Hey Alex, do you have reason to believe RDJ will only portray Dr. Doom in Doomsday/Secret Wars, or might the studio try to keep him around?
Alex Perez: As I understand it, it’s a one and done with Doomsday and Secret Wars. And there’s a reason he has that face.
icast05: Hey, Alex! Hope you’re doing well! Will the Void play a role in Doomsday and/or Secret Wars?
Alex Perez: Yes. It is one of the very few places in the entire multiverse that is safe from the end of the Multiverse. It is also the home of some interesting characters we’ll see soon enough.
Ratchet1490: Hey, Alex! I have some comics-oriented questions for you! Do you have any information on the TVA comic which seems to imply the Time Variance Authority from the comics and the one from the MCU are one and the same? Will this be relevant at all in Secret Wars, especially if connecting with the Spiderverse, or is it just a fun tie-in with no implications for the wider story?
Alex Perez: Smart question. I believe it is separate, but it doesn’t mean that a Spider-Verse connection is impossible.

Alex Perez: Probably not.

Alex Perez: He’ll be one of the champions of his universe. We’ll also explore the roles of Anchor Beings more through him. Also, comic relief. Lots and lots of comic relief.
Black Panther
Jace: Hey Alex, I hope you’re having a good year so far! With the rumor that Marvel is considering a recast for T‘Challa, will this be a variant that only appears in A:DD and A:SW or will this be a new T‘Challa moving into Black Panther III and beyond?
Alex Perez: To my understanding, it’s going to be Toussaint / T’Challa II moving forward for Black Panther 3, but that doesn’t eliminate the possibility of other Black Panther variants showing up in the Avengers’ films beforehand. I do want to take advantage of your question to address Black Panther 3, and do want to say what I’ve heard about the film and its theme. Compared to the previous films, Ryan Coogler is interested in leaning into a more horror/supernatural/thriller tone for this film.
Blade
Vin: When Blade?
Alex Perez: Blade soon. You’ll get your first taste in Marvel Zombies. But then after that, trust that we’ll hear more about that production afterwards.
Captain America: Brave New World
JoeMarvel: Hey Alex! Giancarlo Esposito said that his character from Captain America: Brave New World will be back in a D+ show. Do you know which one and when?
Alex Perez: Nope and nope.
Matapple: Hi Alex, hope you’re doing fine. Is there any accuracy about the rumor that Red Hulk is in Captain America: Brave New World for just 4 minutes?
Alex Perez: There is.

Alex Perez: He’ll set out to do what he was assigned to do in the film. He’s going to organize and bring the Avengers together.

Alex Perez: Sharon Carter’s been doing some shady stuff behind the scenes in the political spectrum of the MCU. To my understanding, we’re going to explore a particular network that already exists in the MCU, but works in the shadows, and it’s a network that ties The Black Widows, the US Government, the DODC, the New York Criminal Enterprise, the Ten Rings and multiple fun villains that have yet to step out from the shadows.
Captain America and The Winter Soldier
Titan: There was a Captain America and the Winter Soldier logo tease at the end of TFatWS. At the time, Feige and Moore said there were discussions for season 2, and Marvel submitted the show for Best Drama Series and not Miniseries. Last year they released the Steelbook for The Falcon and the Winter Solder, and it specified it was the first season. Have you heard anything about the series getting a season 2, under the new name or otherwise?
Alex Perez: Nope. I believe it was intended for them to do a second season, but then Marvel opted to continue their stories with Cap 4 and Thunderbolts* instead.
