Loki season 2 is set to make its glorious return this coming October 6th, and fans cannot wait to see their favorite God of Mischief return. But just as new characters join Loki for his latest adventure, others will try to impede efforts to save the Sacred Timeline. And, of course, there is the ever-looming danger of Kang the Conqueror and his variants lurking in the shadows of the Multiverse.
It’s already known that Jonathan Majors will return for the second season of Loki as the old-timey variant, Victor Timely. Timely appeared in the post-credit scene of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, presenting a demonstration called “Victor Timely and his Astounding Emporium Marvels.” The Cosmic Circus exclusively revealed details about Timely’s appearance in the show, which was later confirmed via the trailer. However, Timely won’t be the only Kang variant showing up during the second season. We can also reveal that Majors will be returning to the series as another key Kang variant which may surprise some…
Jonathan Majors’ He Who Remains to return in Loki season 2
Earlier this month, I took to Twitter (now X) and teased a potential Kang variant that was coming up soon. We can now exclusively report that the first Kang variant to appear in the MCU, He Who Remains, will return for Loki‘s second season. Multiple sources have told us that Jonathan Majors will don the robes once more and return as the most “benevolent” of the Kang variants.
As for a few additional details, sources also told us that these scenes featuring He Who Remains are not repurposed from the first season finale, but rather new scenes taking place at the Citadel at the End of Time and the Void. Majors’ appearance as He Who Remains will feel like a “full circle” moment for the story told in Loki, as well as for fans of the show, according to our sources.
Renslayer and Miss Minutes on a mission in Loki season 2
The second season picks up following the season finale cliffhanger when Loki finds himself in a battle for the soul of the Time Variance Authority. Along with Mobius, Hunter B-15, and a lot of new and returning characters, Tom Hiddleston’s Loki navigates an ever-expanding and increasingly dangerous multiverse in search of what it means to possess free will and glorious purpose. In addition to trying to find Sylvie, who they soon find judging by the trailer, they’ll also be on the hunt for Ravonna Renslayer and Miss Minutes who are on a mysterious mission.
Loki returns on October 6, for its second season, only on Disney+.
